1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SilentCutter at silentcutter.online ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SilentCutter. "You" refers to any individual or entity that accesses or uses the Service.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Service Description

SilentCutter is a web-based video editing tool that automatically removes silent gaps from MP4 video files. The Service:

• Analyzes the audio track of uploaded MP4 videos
• Detects and removes silent segments based on configurable parameters
• Returns a processed MP4 file with silence removed
• Deletes all uploaded and processed files after the user downloads the result

SilentCutter is provided "as is" and we make no guarantees about the results. The quality of silence removal depends on the audio content of your specific video.

3. Free vs Paid Plans

Free Plan

The free plan is provided at no cost and is subject to the limitations described above. Free plan limits may be changed or the free plan may be discontinued at any time with reasonable notice.

Paid Plan / License

Purchasing a license grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use SilentCutter. The license is linked to your email address and the issued license key. You may use your license key on multiple devices but may not share or resell it.

"Lifetime access" means access for as long as the SilentCutter service continues to operate. It does not represent a guaranteed perpetual service obligation.

4. License & Intellectual Property

SilentCutter and all associated code, design, trademarks, and content are the intellectual property of SilentCutter and its creators. You are granted a limited license to use the Service — you may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Service.

Your video files remain your intellectual property. By uploading videos to SilentCutter, you grant us a temporary, limited license to process your video solely for the purpose of providing the Service. This license terminates upon deletion of your files.

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to upload and process the videos you submit, and that doing so does not infringe on any third-party rights.

5. Refund Policy

To request a refund:

• Email support@silentcutter.online within 7 days of purchase
• Include your order confirmation or email address used at purchase
• Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days via your original payment method

After 7 days, refunds are at our sole discretion. We may deny refund requests for accounts that have processed a high volume of videos or that show signs of abuse.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use SilentCutter to:

• Upload, process, or distribute videos containing illegal content, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material, content inciting violence, or content that violates any applicable law
• Upload videos that infringe on third-party intellectual property rights without authorization
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, license validation, or security measures
• Share, sell, or transfer your license key to others
• Use automated bots or scripts to make requests to the Service
• Overload, disrupt, or impair the Service or its infrastructure
• Attempt to access other users' data or the server's file system
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose beyond your own content creation without explicit permission

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of silence detection results
• Warranties that defects will be corrected

We do not guarantee that processed videos will meet any specific quality standard or that silence detection will be perfect for all video types.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SILENTCUTTER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Loss of profits, revenue, or data
• Loss of your video files (though we take every precaution to prevent this)
• Business interruption
• Any damages exceeding the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Grounds for termination include but are not limited to violation of these Terms or abusive use of the Service.

If your account is terminated for violation of the Prohibited Uses section, no refund will be issued. If termination is for other reasons (such as service discontinuation), we will provide reasonable notice and a pro-rated refund where applicable.

Upon termination, all licenses granted to you are immediately revoked.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by:

• Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
• For material changes, sending an email to known license holders

Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
