Account & License Information

When you purchase a license or sign up for our free plan, we collect:

• Email address (required for license delivery and free plan access)
• Payment information (processed by Gumroad — we never see your card details)
• Order/transaction ID from the payment processor
• License key generated for your account

Usage Data

We collect limited usage data to operate the service:

• Number of video processing jobs run (for free plan limits tracking)
• Date and month of usage (for monthly reset calculation)
• Basic server logs (IP address, request timestamps) for security purposes

Contact Form Data

If you contact us via our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message content to respond to your inquiry.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your information only for legitimate purposes:

• License delivery: Sending your license key to your email after purchase
• Free plan management: Tracking monthly usage to enforce the 3 uses/month limit
• Customer support: Responding to your questions and resolving issues
• Service improvement: Understanding how the tool is used to improve it
• Security: Detecting and preventing fraud or abuse

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or marketing without your explicit consent.

4. Video Files & Processing

This is the most important section of our privacy policy — because you're uploading your video content to our servers.

• No permanent storage: Uploaded videos are stored temporarily in isolated directories only during processing
• Immediate deletion: Both the input video and the processed output are permanently deleted from our servers as soon as you download your result
• No human access: No SilentCutter employee or contractor views your video content
• No training data: Your videos are never used to train any AI or machine learning models
• No third-party sharing: Your videos are never sent to or shared with any third-party service
• Isolated processing: Each job runs in its own isolated directory and is cleaned up after completion

If a processing job fails or you close your browser without downloading, the files are automatically cleaned up by our server maintenance processes within 24 hours.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

SilentCutter uses minimal cookies and session storage:

Session Cookies

We use a secure session cookie to maintain your login state after you enter your license key. This cookie expires when you close your browser or explicitly log out. It contains only a session identifier — not your license key itself.

Free Plan Session

For free plan users, we store your email in an encrypted session cookie to identify you between visits.

No Tracking Cookies

We do not use any advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or any similar tracking service.

6. Third-Party Services

Gumroad (Payment Processing)

Purchases are processed through Gumroad. When you buy a license, Gumroad handles all payment processing. Gumroad's privacy policy applies to data you provide during checkout. We receive only your email address and a transaction ID from Gumroad — we never see your payment card details.

Supabase (Database)

We use Supabase, a secure cloud database service, to store license key data and free plan usage records. Supabase stores data in secure, encrypted databases with industry-standard security practices. Only license keys, email addresses, and usage counts are stored — never video files.

Resend (Email Delivery)

We use Resend to deliver license key emails. Your email address is used only for this one-time delivery. Resend's privacy policy applies to their email delivery infrastructure.

Hosting

Our service is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure. Standard server logs (IP addresses, timestamps) may be retained for up to 30 days for security monitoring purposes.

7. Data Retention

• License data: Retained indefinitely to validate your lifetime license access
• Free plan usage records: Retained for 13 months (to calculate monthly resets)
• Video files: Deleted immediately after processing — never retained
• Contact form messages: Retained for 90 days after resolution
• Server logs: Retained for up to 30 days for security purposes

You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at support@silentcutter.online.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (note: deleting license data will deactivate your license)
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format
• Objection: Object to certain processing of your data

SilentCutter is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
